Albury rally – April 2025

Paediatric surgeon Dr Tracey Merriman spoke at the local hospital rally in March, calling on the community to continue in their fight for better health outcomes.

“They are leaving us with a two-site model that is dangerous, it leaves our community with what is an unacceptable clinical risk.

“As clinicians, we will not, we cannot ever accept that for our community.

“We will keep fighting.”

Dr Lachlan McKeeman, Deputy Secretary of the Border Medical Association, delivered a strong message of advocacy at the local hospital rally.

“Myself and 200 colleagues signed a letter and delivered it to all levels of government.

“We felt we had to stand up and say so clearly what our community needs.

“We will not fold. We will not walk away.”
